The Mt Gravatt Lapidary Society Management Committee and other Committee positions are elected each year at the Annual General Meeting.  We are always looking for volunteers to stand up and be part of the committee that keeps the society going forward.

If you would like to be part of the committee, please don't hesitate to contact any member of the committee listed above.

Positions often become vacant during the year, so if you are interested in being part of the committee, can contribute to the running of the club or have an interest in improving the club, please contact a committee member today.

Volunteering

The Mt Gravatt Lapidary Society is a community organisation that is run by its members for its members. Therefore the strength of the club comes from you - it's members.

In this day and age we know everyone is time poor and don't expect you to dedicate your life to the club, however if you can give a couple of hours a week, month or year then we are always grateful for the help.

You may not always notice, but a lot of work is required to keep sessions, and the club, running smoothly.

We are always looking for volunteers who would be interested in, and can commit a day per week, fortnight or month, to becoming a duty officer or club administration at sessions.

Many activities do not need you to take on a position for the entire year or commit to every week at the club.  You may be able to help out with cleaning or maintenance, weed and tidy the gardens, staff the annual gem show, organise the Christmas Party, help out with a fossicking trip or run a fundraiser .  Alternatively, you may be able to take on selling raffle tickets, posting to social media, compiling a quarterly newsletter or updating the website while you are at home.

If you would like to help keep the club running then just ask any member of the committee what you can do to help.
